What is Raw Cuisine? Raw Cuisine Selections
Raw Cuisine is quickly gaining popularity amongst foodies worldwide. Raw Cuisine is comprised mostly of organic fruits, vegetables, seeds, and nuts. For a food to be considered raw it must be subjected to no more than 118 degrees Farenheit, which is the point at which living enzymes in food begin to die. By keeping temperatures below this point, usually through marinating and dehydration techniques, all of the vitality of the food is preserved and delivered to the body upon consumption. While technically considered raw, unpasteurized dairy and raw eggs are NOT not used in our creations.
Eating a portion of raw foods daily is a great way to cleanse the body and boost your energy. Research has even shown that vegetarian sources of raw food contain important cancer preventing substances. Raw foods also have a cooling effect on the body, which compliments the warm, humid environment of the Hawaiian islands.
Chef Danny has trained in Raw Food preparation and takes great care to ensure that each dish has a well-balanced flavor and textural goodness. You could call it healthy comfort food! Most people, regardless of eating habits, fall in love with the raw cuisine that Chef Danny prepares. The dishes he carefully chooses to prepare raw are mainly desserts, creative salads, snacks, and some breakfast items. While Raw Foods can be eaten all throughout the day, we find it most satisfactory to eat them primarily during the daytime and then have a wholesome cooked dinner at night. This grounds the energy, nourishes the soul, and prepares the body for a restful sleep.
I'm not suggesting you go totally raw, but finding some incredibly delcious ways to enjoy foods in-the-raw can be life changing.
